MISSION STATEMENT

 

 POLESTAR OUTDOORS is a non-denominational Christian organization that uses outdoor venues to bring adult mentors and teenagers together to develop faith, character, and leadership.

 

 

PURPOSE STATEMENT

 

 The purpose of POLESTAR OUTDOORS is to provide youth (ages 11-18) of both genders with Outdoor Education.  This education will primarily center on Fishing, Hunting, Shooting, Camping and Hiking with emphasis on Outdoor Safety, Conservation, Ethics, State and Federal Game and appropriate regulations, as well as personal skills.

 

 

STATEMENT OF FAITH:

 

WE BELIEVE--

1. There is one divine God, creator of the universe, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
2. The Bible is the inspired word of God and our authority for faith and living.
3. The deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless example of living, in His substitutional death, in His resurrection & ascension, and in His ultimate return.
4. Salvation consists of forgiveness of sins by belief in Jesus Christ, and is a gracious gift;  not a reward for any good deeds we might do.
5. Christians are indwelled with the Holy Spirit, enhabling us to live Christ-like lives and equipping us to serve God and others.
6. Christians should seek to live as good examples to those around us and to seek opportunities to serve others and to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

 

 

STANDARDS OF SERVICE WITH POLESTAR OUTDOORS

 

You are in agreement with Polestar Outdoors Mission, Purpose, and Statement of Faith.

 

You are in good standing in your church and community.

 

You agree to submit to a third-party background check. (as per form  004-10 )

 

You understand that Polestar Outdoors is a non-denominational organization and you agree not to promote any distinctive doctrines, methods and practices which go beyond Polestars Statement of Core Values.

 

You understand that all themes and activities shall be approved by the Executive Director.

 

In offering your services, you trust the Lord to make you a faithful servant, remembering your purpose at Polestar Outdoors is to share your knowledge of Hunting and/or Fishing and to demonstrate Christ's love and hope to all you serve.
